Sea Spots is inspired by the amazingly colorful psychedelic markings on fish and other sea creatures, mixed up and put together as an endless undulating repeat pattern. The design translates beautifully on to the shimmery surface of my silk scarves!
Moana Kala Kala (Ocean Colors) is an abstraction inspired by the colors and markings on sea life, especially from the tropical waters of the Hawaiian Islands.

I had a vision of waves of overlapping colors that weave in and out of each other, converging into starbursts of light at certain points, with all starbursts interconnected within a pattern of endlessly repeating waves. That the starbursts also resemble lotus flowers was an accidental evolutionary discovery!
